Yanga's hydration station

January 27, 2025

An user-friendly, scalable, robust design their radiates Yanga's new brand identity.

Together with Yanga, we developed a new Hydration Station for the American market that complements Yanga’s fresh, accessible brand and the dynamic gym environment.

The biggest challenge was to create a design that radiates their new brand identity while being user-friendly, scalable, and robust, without drawing too much attention.

The Spark team and Yanga collaborated on a new design concept, giving the redesigned Yanga dispenser not only a modern appearance but also an entirely new interaction experience. LED lighting in the dispensing area brings the machine to life, matching the selected fruit flavor. Creating a visually appealing and intuitive experience. We also took into account the versatility of payment options in different gyms: whether using a QR code, RFID scanner or a ‘swipe’ pass, the machine supports a variety of payment options for an international audience.

During the design process, we tested different types and sizes of bottles to ensure that the bottle always remains stable and water is dispensed neatly without spilling or splashing, thanks to a specially designed grid pattern. The machine had to be robust enough for a gym environment, where it will be used daily by fanatic athletes.

The result: a prototype of a tap system that represents Yanga’s healthy, accessible, and fresh image. The design adds an extra dimension to gym interiors and makes drinking water a part of the fitness experience. Spark is proud to have translated Yanga’s vision into a sustainable, scalable, and attractive design that’s ready for gyms all over America.
