During the development of the ApolloZ, we accounted for the possibility of implementing this future technology later on. When the technology became available, we seamlessly integrated it into the core of the existing system. Managing the temperature was a particular technical challenge. We designed a cooling system that allows the light source to emit sufficient light without causing heat issues for the sensitive components of the ApolloZ, the operator, or the medications being scanned. We developed an active shutter and a dual cooling channel for this purpose. An additional challenge was that these technical components had to be designed for low volumes. The result feels not like an add-on but as an intended design without compromises, maintaining the high-quality feel of this technically advanced product.
