Safe & Healthy with LEA

The future

Care robot LEA (Lean Empowering Assistant) is a new archetype and embodies the care of the future in which robotics help the elderly (and the disabled) to stay fit, active and, most of all, independent. This way, it lightens the workload of human caregivers.

LEA helps the elderly to maintain a daily routine, remind them to take medication or to keep in touch with family. By stimulating to walk, dance or exercise, LEA keeps the elderly fit and healthy.

Trust

LEA's success lies in the hands of the user, and Spark is dedicated to earn that trust. Safety, functionality and reliability come together in LEA making it a trustworthy care partner.

Collaboration

The design – the look and feel of the robot – and the operation of the individual parts are fully coordinated. In order to manage this properly, we worked closely with RCS and the various suppliers during the development.

Robot technology

Feedback from various therapists helped us to understand how LEA functions in practice. In this way, we continue to make an inventory of the possibilities of robot technology in healthcare and map out new target groups.

"We appreciate that the care robot can be tailored to the user's condition. The designers have made sure that, despite the many functions and technology, LEA does not look intimidating”
